Domiciliary Care Worker

This role is ideal for someone who genuinely cares about helping people remain safe, comfortable and independent at home.\n\nYou may be supporting older adults, people living with dementia, individuals with physical disabilities, people recovering from illness, or adults who need daily support with personal care, medication prompts, meals, mobility, companionship and general wellbeing.\n\nWe are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have experience in homecare, domiciliary care, reablement, supported living, residential care, nursing homes, mental health support, learning disability support or community care.\n\nAbout the role\n\nAs a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will visit people in their homes to provide safe, respectful and person-centred care. You will support each person in line with their care plan, promoting dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing at all times.\n\nYour duties may include:\n\n * Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, toileting and continence support\n\n * Supporting with safe moving and handling, mobility and transfers where required\n\n * Preparing meals, drinks and supporting nutrition and hydration\n\n * Prompting or assisting with medication in line with care plans and company procedures\n\n * Offering companionship and emotional reassurance\n\n * Supporting light domestic tasks linked to the person’s wellbeing\n\n * Helping clients attend appointments, access the community or maintain daily routines\n\n * Observing and reporting changes in health, mood, mobility, appetite or general wellbeing\n\n * Completing accurate care records after each visit\n\n * Following safeguarding, infection control, confidentiality and health and safety procedures\n\nAbout you\n\nThe right person for this role will be dependable, respectful and able to build trust with people who may feel vulnerable, anxious or lonely.
