A forward-thinking specialist school, part of a national SEN trust, is seeking an Autism Support Teaching Assistant to join their expanding team.\n\nThe school caters for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, SEMH needs and associated communication difficulties within a highly supportive and therapeutic environment.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nSupporting autistic pupils with their learning and emotional development\nDelivering structured support routines and sensory strategies\nEncouraging communication and independence\nSupporting behaviour regulation and wellbeing\nWorking collaboratively with teaching staff and clinical teams\nAssisting with outdoor learning and enrichment activities\nThe successful candidate will:\n\nHave experience supporting children with Autism or SEN\nBe patient, adaptable and empathetic\nHave strong interpersonal skills\nBe passionate about inclusive education\nBe committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing\nThe school offers excellent CPD opportunities, specialist training and a rewarding working environment focused on improving outcomes for young people.\n\nAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
